The Series: Clarkson has faced just one of the three teams before, and even that was a rebirth of the series. Last year, the Knights fell to Hartwick College in five sets at Alumni Gymnasium, the first time the two teams had met in over a decade. Clarkson has never competed against either Castleton or Cobleskill.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-6): Freshman Conley Burns won her second Liberty League Rookie of the Week honor on Monday and for good reason. The first-year collegian averaged 4.50 kills per set with a .383 hitting percentage in two matches last Saturday, including 29 kills against Salve Regina, the most by a Clarkson player in the Carol LaMarche era. For the season, which is at roughly the one-third point, Burns is averaging 3.27 kills per set with a .243 hitting percentage. The latter figure is the highest for an outside hitter at Clarkson since Aishvina Arasu had a .305 rate in 2015.

Key Stats for Castleton (6-3): The Spartans are averaging 3.94 aces per set, which ranks third in all of NCAA Division III, but the ace numbers fluctuate wildly, from as many as 24 against Vermont State Lyndon and 22 against Paul Smiths, down to two versus Middlebury College and three against Trinity (CT). Brianna Walsh leads the team with an ace per set and also adds in 1.41 kills and 2.63 digs per set. Sam Ford (2.36 kps) and Jocelyn Ray (2.22 kps) also contribute to the team's offense.

Key Stats for SUNY Cobleskill (1-5): The Fighting Tigers have struggled to keep the ball in the court on offense, posting a .077 hitting percentage for the season. Kathleen Smart, a six-rotation player, is the team's leader on offense with 2.00 kills per set, but her hitting percentage is almost even at .007, which may be lower due to back-row attacks. Emma Hinze averages 0.80 blocks, 1.95 kills, and 2.05 digs per set with a .158 hitting percentage.

Key Stats for Hartwick (5-7): The Hawks went 20-3 a year ago, but missed out on the NCAA Tournament due to a first-round exit in the Empire 8 Tournament. Several of the key names have returned, including Shelby Swartz, who contributed 2.49 kills and 2.67 digs per set, and Isabella Gracias, who has a .241 hitting percentage with 2.38 kills and 0.64 blocks per set. Mary Kinnane has 0.50 aces per set and Malia Dake tosses in 3.38 digs per game.
