The Series: The Golden Knights have won seven straight against the Cardinals, including a lopsided 21-4 victory at Hantz Field last season. In that game, 14 different players scored a goal for Clarkson and at 17 different players registered a point. Clarkson dominated in all facets of the game, including a 40-8 edge in shots on goal.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-2): The Golden Knights have been just so-so on faceoffs thus far, winning 48.9%, but while that can have a significant impact on a team's groundball ratio, that category still swings heavily in Clarkson's favor. The Green and Gold have a 180-145 edge in groundballs despite being on the wrong side of 50% of faceoffs, which comes largely from the team's 58-34 edge in caused turnovers. The defense has been strong in many ways, and it is indicated by Griffin Emerson's numbers as he has posted an 8.18 goals against average and .561 save percentage, numbers that dropped after a standout week against Oswego and Geneseo (3.86 GAA, .720%) and landed him a Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week nod.

Key Stats for Plattsburgh State (2-2): The Cardinals have a defensive standout in Fynn Whitlock, who has already registered 16 groundballs and nine caused turnovers in only four games. The team has split their goalkeepers in terms of minutes with Jack Mulcahy posting a .523 save percentage and Cole Orehosky at .455, with each playing roughly 120 minutes so far. Mike Walsh leads the team on offense with 11 total points and Dylan Ruland has a team-high seven goals. Five different players have scored four goals or more through four contests.
