Clarkson travels to Princeton

The Clarkson University Women's Hockey team hits the road this weekend for a key ECAC Hockey matchup against Princeton on Friday afternoon at Hobey Baker Rink. Puck drop is set for 6:00 p.m. as the Golden Knights look to keep building momentum in league play.

Despite the loss Saturday to Dartmouth, Clarkson enters the weekend with a strong start to the 2025-26 ECAC campaign, sitting in a tie for 2nd place with 9 points in the standings. The Golden Knights face two of the 3 other teams tied with them in 2nd place, so these games can help shape the ECAC landscape.

Up front, the Golden Knights continue to get contributions from newcomers, Sara Manness leads the team offensively with 15 points, and has been named the Hockey Commisioners Association and the ECAC Rookie of the Month.  Her 12 assists leads all first year players in the nation.

On the back end, 3 veterans anchor a defensive unit that has had to help bring along several newcomers.  Kate Manness has 6 points leading all first year Defense, and ties for the team lead in points by a Defender with Keira Hurry. Tonight will be Jaela Carter's first action in the Green and Gold.  Between the pipes, the Knights continue to platoon Holly Gruber and Arianne LeBlanc.  Gruber is 4-2 on the season with a 2.02 GAA and LeBlanc is 2-1 with 1.36 GAA.

Princeton comes into Friday's game off a strong stretch of its own, posting back-to-back wins over RPI and Union last weekend. The Tigers feature a potent offensive attack led by Alexander Mackenzie (5-4-9), who has paced the team in scoring through the early part of the season.

Friday's contest is the first of two weekend road games for Clarkson, as the Golden Knights will head to Quinnipiac on Saturday to close out the trip. With valuable ECAC points on the line, this weekend provides another opportunity for Clarkson to strengthen its position in the standings.
