The Series: Last season was Hobart's first in the conference and its first baseball games in decades as the school relaunched the program. Clarkson won all three games against the Statesmen, taking the contests by scores of 6-1, 12-3, and 7-5.

Key Stats for Clarkson (8-14, 1-9 Liberty League): A handful of players in the regular lineup have slumped in the month of April, but sophomore Aidan Kuefner has played well over his last nine games. Kuefner is 16-for-36 (.444) in that stretch. Also playing well as of late is Mateo Sarabia. The junior righty has just four starts on the season, but his last two against league foes have seen him post a 1.98 earned run average over 13.2 innings, including 10 strikeouts. He tossed 6.2 innings against Rochester the first weekend of April and held Skidmore to just one run over seven innings on Sunday, only allowing a run in the final inning of the game.

Key Stats for Hobart (13-11, 6-4 Liberty League): Winners of seven straight, the Statesmen are getting a solid April from the team's leading hitter, Ty Gallagher. Since the calendar flipped to April, Gallagher is hitting .500 with nine runs scored and 10 runs batted in, pushing his season line to .373/.524/.573 with 25 runs batted in. Hobart has a pair of strikeout artists in their bullpen and occasionally in the rotation. Aaron Forgues has a few starts on the year, but is averaging nearly 1.5 strikeouts per inning with 30 whiffs in 20.1 innings of work. Nicholas Francheschi is 3-1 out of the bullpen in 11 appearances with 24 strikeouts over 18.2 innings on the bump. Trevor Kimball also has 30 strikeouts in 28.2 innings to tie for the team lead in the former category.
