The Series: Clarkson and Hamilton began attempting to play March games back in 2017 and have been fortunate enough to dodge the snow and rain in some years. The two teams split the doubleheader that first year, but Hamilton has won five straight since, including two games in 2019 and three times in 2020, which proved to be the only games of the season that year for the Continentals.

Key Stats for Clarkson (1-0): The early take away from the season-opener was the Golden Knights pitching staff. Although the team did allow seven runs to St. John Fisher, the six pitchers combined to strike out 10 batters, the first time that Clarkson fanned that many in a stretch of 40 games. Each of the six hurlers struck out at least one hitter against St. John Fisher, led by Nicholas Hofacker's three strikeouts in three innings of work.

Key Stats for Hamilton (0-0): The Continentals had seven regulars in their lineup hit .305 or better a year ago, and five of those players return to the team in 2024. Though Greg Kopp had a higher batting average (.361), senior Jackson Sattinger is the team's top returning hitter in terms of OPS, with a figure above 1.000. Sattinger hit .340/.467/.566 a year ago with a team-best 60 total bases and 17 extra-base hits. On the mound, Jack Eshlemann had a ridiculous season in 2023, allowing opponents to hit just .124 while posting a 51-3 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 31.2 innings.
