CU Women's Soccer Preview - vs. Cortland/Plattsburgh (9/8-9)

Though the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team will face off against a pair of SUNYAC schools this weekend, it will be at mixed venues, as the Golden Knights take to the road on Friday to play Cortland State before returning home for a Saturday tilt against Plattsburgh State.

The Series (vs. Cortland): The Golden Knights have split their two previous meetings against the Red Dragons, winning their first ever match up back in 2011 by a score of 1-0. Cortland returned the favor in 2013 with 1-0 overtime win over the Golden Knights

The Series (vs. Plattsburgh): Clarkson is just 4-29 all-time against the Cardinals, but the Golden Knights have scored a pair of victories in the last five seasons against Plattsburgh, including a 2-1 victory at home in 2015.

Key Stats for Clarkson: Sophomore Camryn Careccia started the season off strong scoring twice in the Golden Knights home opener against Salve Regina. Senior Madison Kather also scored in the game to begin her senior campaign.

Madeline Saccocio has already scored three times, including both goals during a 2-0 win over Castleton State on Friday. Ernesta McIntosh also has produced three points on a goal and an assist.
