CU Women's Soccer Preview - at SUNY Potsdam (9/12)

Taking on its fourth straight SUNYAC opponent, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team will travel down Pierrepont Avenue to face crosstown rival SUNY Potsdam Tuesday night.

The Series: The Golden Knights have won 20 of the 30 meetings against the Bears, along with three ties, but it was Potsdam that came away with the win in 2016. The Bears' victory last year ended Clarkson's six-game winning streak in the series.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-1-1): Goalkeeper Elyse Green and Clarkson last allowed a goal in game play nearly 224 minutes ago thanks to back-to-back shutouts against Cortland State and Plattsburgh State. It marked the first time since 1992 that Clarkson recorded multiple shutouts against SUNYAC schools.

Key Stats for Potsdam (4-1-0): In stark contrast to Clarkson's success in 2017, the Bears have won their games thanks to ample offense. Averaging close to three goals per game, Potsdam is led by junior midfielder Brooke Faison, who has scored five goals on the young season, including at least one in each of the team's four wins.
