CU Women's Soccer Preview - at Rensselaer (10/28)

A wide range of outcomes remains for the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team despite the Golden Knights having just one game left on the schedule. The Green and Gold could find themselves hosting a playoff game and as high as third in the Liberty League standings or out of the playoff mix all together depending on the outcome of the regular season finale against Rensselaer on Saturday, as well as other contests across the league.

The Series vs. Rensselaer: The Engineers hold a 20-10-4 edge in the all-time matchup including a 1-0 win in 2016. Clarkson's last victory in the series came in 2009 as Rensselaer has gone 6-0-1 in the last seven, though five of those games were decided by a goal or less.

Key Stats for Clarkson (8-5-3, 4-3-1 Liberty League): The four league wins that the Knights have recorded this season are the most in program history since Clarkson joined a conference nearly 30 seasons ago. In fact, Clarkson has won four league games combined in the last seven seasons. Both Camryn Careccia and Madison Kather have scored three goals in league play this year.

Key Stats for Rensselaer (7-7-2, 3-4-1 Liberty League): The Engineers won their first three league games in 2017, but have gone 0-4-1 in the last five conference contests, scoring just once in their last four league tilts. Rensselaer's offense is varied as six different players have scored at least two goals, but only Emily Dunn has made it to three goals in 2017.
