CU Men's Lacrosse Preview - vs. Plattsburgh State (3/8)

For the second time in four days the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team will take on a SUNYAC foe when the Golden Knights host Plattsburgh State on Tuesday afternoon at Hantz Turf Field.

The Golden Knights enter Tuesday's game with a record of 1-1 while Plattsburgh is 1-2, fresh off a victory over Norwich University. The Cardinals and Knights have met 14 times before with each team winning seven games, but Plattsburgh has controlled the series as of late with victories in five of the last six years against Clarkson.

Chosen to the Liberty League Honor Roll on Monday, junior Ryan DaRin is Clarkson's leader in points so far with eight on five goals and three assists. His eight points (4.0 ppg) are tied for third in the Liberty League and his five goals (2.5 gpg) are tied for seventh. Classmate Ryan St. Croix currently is second on the team in both goals (four) and points (six) while Kyle Brown, another junior, has found the net on four occasions with his hard shot. Sophomore Sam Groves is tied for third in the conference in assists (2.0 apg) and also is tied for second on the team in groundballs. Senior Keith Mierzwa also has scooped up seven groundballs and leads the Liberty League with eight caused turnovers.
