Saratoga Springs, NY - Three Skidmore players scored in double figures as the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team dropped its second straight league contest in a 68-43 Liberty League loss to the Thoroughbreds Friday night.
The Golden Knights fell to 8-16 overall and 4-9 in the Liberty League while Skidmore evened its record at 12-12 while matching Clarkson's league record 4-9. Clarkson finishes the season tomorrow at Union College.
Clarkson quickly fell behind 35-12 as the Knights struggled from the field, shooting just 4-for-22 (18.2%). The two teams played evenly in the second half, but Clarkson was unable to put much of a dent in the 20-point deficit.
Seniors Vanessa Westcott (Parish, NY), Sarah Wesner (Sidney, NY) and Mickala Henson (Waverly, NY) each scored nine points to lead Clarkson. Laura Michel led Skidmore with 15 points, shooting 5-for-6 from the floor.
